Beyond the weekly services, EECD Lelystad runs several events throughout the year. Here are the main ones, check the calendar for actual dates.
Special Christmas service
Every December we celebrate the birth of Jesus with a special service, music, a message, and a time of fellowship. Bring your family and friends, believers or not.
Holy Week services
During Holy Week we pause to remember the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the heart of our faith. Special services on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Annual conference / retreat
Once a year we join the other EECD-family churches for a weekend of worship, teaching, and fellowship. Many describe it as the most meaningful experience of their year.
Cultural days
We celebrate the cultures of the Spanish-speaking community with days devoted to food, music, and testimonies, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Mexico, Spain, and many more. The church fills with aromas and stories.
Annual barbecue
Each summer we throw a church-wide barbecue, food, games for kids, music, and lots of unhurried time to get to know each other. Bring whatever you'd like to share.
